Risk Assessment

Dear Parent/Carers.

I would like to set out the arrangements we have made in order to be able to run our Holiday Club during the June half term holiday Tuesday 1st  – Friday 4th June at Field End Infant School.

The safety of your child/children and our staff is always our top priority and in line with the latest Government guidelines, we have put in place a number of new ways of operating which will allow us to focus on measures that will help limit the risk of Coronavirus being transmitted in our setting.

The Holiday Club will operate a family group system (bubble) of up to 15 children per family group.

Each family group will have their own indoor and outdoor space and their own washroom facility.

An entrance and exit point will be used nearest to the room used by each family group.

Only children who are symptom free or who have completed the isolation period should attend the setting.

Parents who drop off and collect their children should also be symptom free.  Only one parent per family should drop off and pick up their child.

Parents will not need to come into the club except if required by the Manager and a mask must be worn.

Handovers will be done at the entrance and each child will be signed in and out by a Playworker.

Only one parent per family will be allowed to drop off or collect their child at any one time so there may be a waiting time. Signs will be displayed to show entrance and exit routes.

Parents should observe social distancing at all times.

Parents will need to ensure their child’s registration form has up to date contact telephone numbers in case they become unwell whilst at club and need to be collected immediately.

Parents need to inform the Club if anyone in their household has developed Covid symptoms.  Your child will be able to attend the club after the required isolation period has been completed.

Children will NOT be able to bring personal belongings from home into the club.

A packed lunch can be put in a named bag and anything your child brings home will be put in a bag at the end of the day.

On arrival the children will be asked to wash their hands at their allocated washroom

Regular hand washing will be encouraged throughout the day and supervised before meal times

Children will use hand gel when leaving the setting

Meals will be eaten in the family groups

If a child develops symptoms whilst at the club, they will be cared for in a separate area by a member of staff wearing PPE.

The child’s parent/carer will be contacted immediately

The child can return following a negative Covid test or when the required isolation period has been completed.

The club will ensure toys and small equipment are changed each day and washed at the end of the day and not reused for 72 hours.

All surfaces, areas, equipment and toys will be cleaned at the end of each day.

Rooms and areas used daily will be cleaned and sanitised regularly throughout the day.

Outdoor areas will be allocated and sectioned off for each family group.

Play will take place outdoors as much as possible.

Windows and doors will be opened as much as possible to ensure ventilation for each family group.

Jump for Joy Holiday Club reserve the right to close the setting due to Covid-19 related staff shortages.

In this instance a credit will be issued for days booked and not used due to the club’s closure.
